青黃色透閃石玉質，有少量白色沁斑及微量結晶體。鳳首向下，眼睛呈梭形微微凸起，以陰刻線刻畫。頸部處豎起飄逸狀的短鬃，鬃的中間以凸弦紋表現。首尾斷開，尾部逐漸收窄，頸部位對鑽一圓孔。器型獨特，這也是中華民族龍鳳呈祥美好寓意的直接的實物證據。
