菊瓣壺為茗壺筋囊器的經典壺式，形製端莊秀逸，菊瓣自鈕而下至壺底，子口母蓋周正嚴密，可任由一個方向置換，瓣瓣通轉吻合，製作難度較大。一彎流從菊瓣中伸展，自然天成，長端把若流水，下置飛垂，秀姿優雅。身、蓋、鈕三者比例由小至大，俯視可見層層相迭，如放射狀，極為美觀。菊瓣壺始見於清早期，大半無款，有款者多是大名家作品，一般陶工甚少為此，向來深得藏家賞識。
Of globular form, the teapot lobed on the exterior similar to chrysanthemum flower petals, with C shaped handle and small spout, the lid in similar lobed design, the clay is of light brown color tone, marks on the bottom and near handle.
