劍首形製小巧，周身受沁，整體呈紅褐色，高浮雕螭龍紋，螭龍蜷縮一團，骨骼健碩，頭部刻畫生動，開有小口，足部有數條陰刻線表現。劍首中間掏空長方形孔洞，以便插嵌。螭龍的形體塑造及雕琢手法具有早期當時風格特點。
The jade carved sword guard depicts a chilong mounted on the exterior, with spiral tail and delicate details, the reverse incised with taotie mask, the jade is of celadon color tone with russet.
