The vase is of tall baluster form, with ovoid elongated ovoid body below waisted neck and evert rim, set on expanding base, glazed overall in flambe infused reddish-green color tone, bottom bears six character KANGXI reign mark.
柳葉瓶以形製纖細似柳葉而名。始創於康熙晚期，其形高不盈尺，有豇頭紅釉、天藍釉等品種。此器通體紅釉，釉色淡雅，釉面有深淺不一的綠色斑點，恰如洪北江詩“綠如春水初生日，紅似朝霞欲上時”之譽。器底有青花“大清康熙年製”款。
