A rare Yuan Dynasty underglaze blue decorated bowl, depicting a Qi Lin among branches on the inside and floral branches on the outside; the body is made of fine grayish white clay; the unglazed base and the foot is well cut, with the tip of the rim cut flat, the inner foot wall sloping outward, and the center of the base having a minute conical protrusion pointing downward; all these are typical feature for Yuan bowls and vases; Qi Lin was a popular motif for ceramics during Tang through Yuan Dynasties.
