COLLECTION FROM THE ESTATE OF FUKUDA FAMILY
                                              (Lot 2869 to 2906)

Mr. Ryuji Fukuda was born in 1914 in Tokyo Japan, admitted to Tokyo Imperial University in 1933 with honors, and in
1936 he was sent to China as a translator. Before World War II ended, in 1943, he went back to Tokyo Japan, and took
over the family business in 1951, expanding rapidly. In 1968, he immigrated to United States with his family, and passed
away in 2009 in a private hospital within Southern California at age 95.
As Mr. Ryuji Fukada spent almost ten years of his adult life in China, Chinese culture influenced him heavily, and he be-
came an avid collector of Chinese antiques. With his expertise in appraisal and deep pockets, he expanded his collection
over the years and became a well-known collector in Chinese antiques. In 2015, based on his will, the estate of Fukuda
family decided to consign part of the collection to auction, hoping to spread the antiques for all to view and collect.
