carved on the exterior with monks engaged in various activities, all with
smiling expression.

ZITAN WOOD CARVED AND DECORATED VASE WITH COVER
紫檀木雕象耳瓶
The vase stands on rounded rectangular base with key-fret band patterns,
rises to baluster form, surface decorated with semi-precious gems
depicting two ducks and a dragonfly amidst river setting, with lotus
flowers and leaves, reverse decorated with three cranes near pine trees,
two elephant mask handles with looped rings attached to the sides,
complete with decorated finial.
