CRYSTAL CARVED ‘TAOTIE’VASE WITH HANDLES AND COVER
清 水晶饕餮蓋瓶
Qing Dynasty period.
The vase stands on splayed bottom, rising to pear shaped body, with two
pierce carved chilong handles on the side, body depicts taotie masks with
elaborate patterns, a mythical beast stand son top of the cover acting as
finial, the crystal vase is mostly of smoky and transparent color.
