JADE CARVED MOUNTAIN BOULDER, SHANZI
清 玉雕山子
Qing Dynasty period.
Carved in the form of mountain, the jade boulder depicts two elders
walking down the mountain path, with pine trees behind them and two
young attendants ahead, above raging river. The reverse carved with a boy
herding water buffalo up the mountain path, with a villager on top. The
jade stone is of celadon-white color with slight russet and mottled interior.
